Cycling For Health Project

Trained Volunteer Cycle Ride Leaders deliver a free programme over 6 weeks to adults in East Lothian who wish to get back to cycling or build their cycling skills.  Participants are supported to improve their cycling skills in preparation for cycling on local cycle paths and quiet risk assessed routes.  The project also supports participants who have completed the beginners programme to continue to cycle by taking part in follow-on cycle rides.

Feedback from participants continues to be very positive.

“Enjoyed taking part after not cycling for approximately 28 years, learning about gears.  Also enjoyed cycling in the company of leaders and other participants.  All helping each other.”

Sessions are run on a Wednesday morning and Wednesday evening over the summer.
